Our narrative commences in Butler, NJ, where Mary and Randy Huebner laid the groundwork for excellence through Accurate Machine and Design, better known as Acumed. In those early days, with only one skilled machinist on board, Acumed set out on a quest to engineer revolutionary implant prototypes for industry leaders.
In 1991, we made a strategic move to Oregon, marking a significant leap forward with the introduction of our inaugural line of arthroscopy screws meticulously designed for ACL ligaments. This pivotal moment signaled the initiation of our unwavering commitment to innovation. The resounding success of the Oregon Fixation Screw propelled us into an era of continuous expansion, enabling us to explore extensive research and craft a diverse array of cutting-edge products. Each passing year witnessed the addition of new lines to our portfolio, cementing our reputation as pioneers in the field.
In 1999, Acumed proudly became a part of The Marmon Group, a development that significantly broadened our reach and influence. Subsequently, in 2002, we joined the esteemed Colson Associates group of companies, aligning ourselves with a collective dedication to excellence.
Presently headquartered in Hillsboro, Oregon, Acumed stands as a global force with a distribution network and offices spanning the entire globe.
